Terrible Experience

I app**** to buy property with SA Homeloans to buy a townhouse that is being developed by Definite Shelter, SA Homeloans approved 90% and i had to pay 10% deposit, this was in June 2016, i was promised that the property would be ready and i would move in October 2016. I signed with Carel Basson Inc, the property lawyers in October and paid the deposit to them, they told me they would invest the deposit until the property was done, when i move in the interest would be paid to me and they would retain the deposit. In November 2016 Definite Shelter asked me to sign papers for they lawyers to transfer the money to them, I did so and they received my deposit. January 2017 i had still not moved in and was told that i would be moving in soon, February 2017 the SA Homeloan lawyers, Nortje attorneys made me sign the property documents and to pay the lawyer fees of which i signed and paid.

March 2017 came and the property was still not done, I had already moved out of my previous place that i was renting and changed my kids schools to be close to the new place that we would be moving into, all this put a strain on my finance, because i had to take a loan to pay the deposit. I kept asking when the property would be ready and they promised the 1st week of April but that didnt happen and i got angry. I decided to cancel my application because i was now not able to pay my bills and asked for my deposit and lawyer fees to be paid back as they had promised that they would do should the deal not fall through, they still have not paid my money. Each lawyer keeps saying that they are waiting for the other one to cancel in order to pay back the money and it still has not happened. I was give false hope and false promises, these people could of been honest with me to say that they were not sure of when i would be able to move into the new place, i would anticipated that, knew that i had enough time to save the deposit but instead they kept giving me false dates. Now all i want is a refund and they are still giving me a run around.
