Unbelievable Bad Service.

Never in my life have I come across such unprofessional staff as what the Port Elizabeth William Moffett branch has. When the so called manager gets into a screaming match with a customer one has to think if this is the business you want anything to doo with.

I purchased the Lorna 180cm 2 Door Tv Units from them and knew it was a self assembly system. When I got home I unpacked all the parts and placed them in the numbering system that most had on them on a sticker on that piece. I started with Item market no1 the base and built it up as the instructions explained using each numbered part in the position indicated. As I was building this system up things just were not falling into place pieces did not seem to line up as instructed. Eventually after about spending many hours on this I gave up and the next day just took the unit back for a refund.

We were met by the manager and he said we should take it to the back so they could look at it. After a while they said they cannot give me a refund as I did not assemble it correctly. At this stage we had about 5 staff members around us and it started to become a screaming match with threats being thrown around.

I told them that I followed the instruction using each numbered item as per instruction and that the system is numbered incorrectly them. They never even took the time to check this with the instruction manual to see if I was correct. Basically implying that I was lying and it was all correct. I then mentioned to them to them that I had taken woodwork classes from STD 6 to Matric. The one guy replies to me that he also does woodworking and that this is not like woodworking once again implying that I was also an idiot.

At that point it was time for me to just leave as I was dealing with unprofessional staff from a completely different level.

I then placed the TAX Invoice on top of the unit and left. So now they have my cash and the unit so it would seem that it is ok for a customer to sit in a position where he has paid for something he does not have.
