Pathetic service and blatant lies from Basil and his team at Decofurn.

We bought two recliner chairs a few months ago. They are already out of place and shape. We contacted the Decofurn shop in Montague Cape Town where we bought it from. As it is still under guarantee. We followed the process and reported the issue to Decofurn. The service that we received from a Basil who says that he is the office manager was shocking. Basil went out his way to continue to lie to us multiple times in one day. He asked if we could be at home on the 23rd of March today, so that they could collect the couches and assess it at the shop. I took half day off as he said that they would collect before 12:00. They did not arrive and we called Basil. Basil kept informing his assistant to advise us that he will contact the driver immediately and get them to call us. He even sent us an email to this regard. But none of that happened. I had to tell my boss that I can't come in as I am still waiting for Decofurn to collect. So my boss tells me that I won't be paid for today. Rightly so. Basil refuses to answer his phone. He keeps informing the assistant that he will call me in 5mins however he does not call back. We get a call from someone named Bernie and she says that they have noted that our coaches are to only to be collected on the 6th of April. We informed her that all our calls and emails are recorded. And we have Decofurn confirming that they would pick up today dated the 23rd of March. She puts down the phone and calls back in 5mins saying yes they made a mistake and that they will collect before 5pm today. No apologies given at all. Basil the so called manager has still not bothered to call and give an apology or a follow up call. This level of service is shocking. We have no confidence in the team that has been employed by Decofurn to ensure that our default couches would be assessed properly or replaced as they should be. At the very least Basil should be aware of what is happening in his team. But clearly Basil does not. He should not be in such a position. Quite funny all round.
