No customer etiquette

I traveled quite a distance to the shop in Friday afternoon traffic and was told that even thought it was late in the day I could purchase my dresser and headboard. Turns out the headboard was sold out and I waited for about 10min at the till point only to be told they had cashed up and I had to come back tomorrow. I am livid
