Mattress Review

Good day

A couple of years ago i purchased a bed from the above mentioned shop. I purchased this bed as i was told it has a weight limitation of 150kgs per side which made the mattress to withstand a weight limit of 300kgs in total.

The bed was fine up until i noticed a slope in the middle earlier this year. I called the branch and i was asked to send the pics. I sent the pics to someone that's in management at the branch where i purchased the bed from as the mattress had a 15 year warranty and i purchased the bed in 2015.

After sending the pics i got an email of a quote from the supplier that i had to pay in an amount that is just above R3000 in order for me to get a new mattress. This is very weird as i purchased the bed for exactly R4000 when i bought it and was promised that i will not need to change beds for at least 15 to 20 years.

I explained to the manager that i work out of town most of the time and no one uses my bed whilst i am away on work. Hence i could not understand the slope on the mattress, yes i am huge but my weight is not over 150kgs.

I even said to the manager i don't mind getting a cheaper mattress as i am not happy with the arrangement of purchasing a new mattress that is close to the amount that i purchased the bed for. What also makes me very is managements response that say "This is a warranty claim and is worked out by the supplier". The tone was very dismissive and to me it sounded as if he was saying i should do whatever i want to do.

I do have a reference number that i was given by the shop for this matter. I'm even willing to give them back the mattress for them to fix it or they can take their mattress back period as i'm getting back problems due to the slope that's in the centre.
