Handling fee??

I bought a coffee table and didn’t like the look of it in my house so I returned it the next day. I was told I had to pay a 10% handling fee!! Because it wasn’t in the correct packaging. I made them unpack it when I bought it The day before to check if it wasn’t defective. They basically ******ed money from me. Do not buy anything from them.
