Disgusting service from Rhumba at Decofurn Springfield in Durban KZN

I am absolutely disgusted with the service I received from Rhumba at Decofurn Springfield in Durban. Yesterday, I bought a desk with drawers for my father’s study. Since they didn’t have the original colour I wanted, Rhumba suggested I take a darker one, which I was happy with. The desk was too big for my car, so I left it to collect today with a bigger vehicle.

When I came back, I was suddenly told I had to pay an extra R1000 for the drawers — something that was never mentioned to me at the time of purchase. On top of that, they handed me a smaller package, not the desk I had chosen. When I questioned this, Rhumba claimed she had told me yesterday and pointed to “stickers” on the product. This is absolutely untrue. There were no stickers at all yesterday, and yet today, suddenly, stickers had appeared everywhere.

This is blatant dishonesty. It is false advertising, misleading customers, and completely ******* under consumer protection laws. I feel cheated and taken advantage of, and I will be reporting this to the relevant authorities.

I strongly warn others: be very careful when dealing with this store. What happened to me is unacceptable and shows a shocking lack of integrity.
