Decofurn will make you pay the price when they sell you damaged furniture and never respond to your queries via their customer service.

I am extremely unhappy about the poor (non-existent) service I have received from Decofurn's Boksburg store and online services after they gave us a damaged table (which we only saw on assembly) and their unwillingness to exchange it for an undamaged one. Below is what happened:

We picked up a table at the Boksburg store on Thursday, 5 January, checked the parts that were opened/shown to us / were visible and then when we wanted to assemble it at home ****erally minutes later) we saw that a big part was damaged. We immediately closed the box and took it back to the Boksburg store but no one was willing to help us exchange the damaged table for an undamaged one as they said that we damaged it and not them. We asked them to check their camera footage to prove that that exact damaged part of the table was not shown to us but the manager on duty, Francois, didn't want to. We also spoke to Francois further about the matter and he agreed that when opening those tables' boxes and showing it to clients, you can't see the part that was damaged as it is under a layer of polyester which they don't remove when showing it to clients, so we are extremely unhappy that the store did not allow us to get a new table. It is unacceptable that the staff at that store, knowing and agreeing that we couldn't inspect that part of the table when they showed it to us, were so unhelpful, rude and disrespectful. I have called their customer service line and got no help, sent an email on the same day about this incident and still haven't received any feedback or reply even though they state that after a query is logged you should receive a response within 1-2 days - thus, they are not living up to their service promise and making it my problem to follow up with them constantly just to get no answer or feedback. I would therefore never recommend that you buy furniture at their store as they will make it your problem and you will pay the price after they sell you damaged furniture. It is unacceptable to give a client a damaged table and not be willing to exchange it for an undamaged one.
