Decofurn and Empty promises
On Saturday, 4 March 2018, I bought a GIA corner chaise from Decofurn Somerset West. When I went to collect it on Sunday they informed me that the material on the bottom was damaged and that they were going to repair it while I wait. Which was fine. After collecting the couch and unloading it at home I started removing the plastic, firstly to find that 2 of the feet were broken and the corner was sc****d as if dragged on a rough surface. When I remove the last plastic I found that the seat was scratched beyond repair. Having borrowed a vehicle I could not return the couch, but I immediately drove back to inform them and make a plan to exchange it. Craig the sales person who assisted me, promised that they would get new stock on Monday and that they would deliver the new and take the damaged couch on Tuesday. He would also phone me to arrange for me to be home when delivery takes place. After not hearing anything on Tuesday I phoned them on Wednesday and he said that he was standing with the driver. At about 14h30 I phoned them again, after not getting any feedback, asking to speak to the manager directly. Craig then phoned me back and explained that they are experiencing a logistical problem and will only be able to deliver my couch the next day. Thusfar all I got from Decofurn has been excuses. I would not advise anyone to buy anything from them
