Damaged good and a bad experience
Hello
My wife and I purchased three items of furniture at the Decofurn branch in Fourways on the 26th of March 2014 to the value of R11 637 excluding delivery.
In three years this is what happened: The first item was a Jason top leather two-seater couch that was purchased at R5 999. The side-stitching on this has opened on the back rest. It needs to be sewn again. When you buy leather goods, this is not supposed to happen.
The second item we purchased was a Mano bonded leather two-seater with a console at R5 199. In 2015 I contacted Decofurn to tell them that after note even a year, the staples on the Mano couch started to come out. Decofurn assessed the couch and supp**** a new one later that year. However the new couch is actually worse. It now dips on the right couch as the springs don't give proper support. We are not the heaviest people in the world so I have no idea how this could happen. It is terrible for whoever sits on the right. It is definitely not worth investing in these couches.
My wife is a doctor and I work in the corporate environment, we are hardly at home and we have no kids or pets jumping on or tearing up the furniture. The furniture is not placed in the sun. I cannot comprehend how these pieces are falling apart.
My details are: The account number is DECMAD16204 Date: 26/4/2014 Order no: DECMADORD8332 Delivery note: DECMADDEL83332 Your ***
We do find this entire experience has been bad, inconvenient and frustrating. We were told that Decofurn sold quality goods at reasonable prices. Little did we know that in fact the company actually charges full retail price for poor quality goods
