Customer Bad Experience while retaining Coat Rack @ Decorfurn Furniture Store in Amorosa Roodepoort. Johannesburg

Yesterday on 18 March 2025, i experienced one of the worst experience I have experienced as a buyer in my entire life. I bought a coat rack from Decofurn furniture store in Amorosa Roodepoort. Upon arrival at my home.while I was assembling it, I noticed that one of the component of the rack has a minor paint chip and I decided to return it to the shop for exchange. The dispatch department at the shop bluntly refused to exchange the item in question inciting the fact the item was checked by dispatchers and I during the dispatch process and both of us couldn’t pick up this hidden chip by the time. I took it upon myself to take it to the matter to branch manager to intervene, unfortunately he sided with the dispatch manager notion. Store manager eventually said, I must write and report the matter through an email which will take several days to respond and make a determination. The level of antagonism and dismissive attitude towards the issue by the both managers leaves a lot to be desired. Lastly, I kept reminding them that, it is not about the value of the product but about the customer experience.
