Bad service

I went in to buy two kitchen chairs and the cashier would not accept a slightly torn R200 note. She told me her safe will not accept the note and after telling her there's no safe on earth that would not accept as slightly torn note she then said she was not allowed by her management to accept torn notes which I found very strange because even banks accept those notes as long as it's a full note. She got irritated when I told her to bring my money back as I was not prepared to change the note. I worked at a financial institution all my life and have never seen a safe that doesn't accept torn notes. Only an ATM will reject torn notes. Very bad customer experience I had.
