<div>I purchased 4 X 50 meter squared artificial grass as advertised on a 1 hour Sale at Deco Essential on the 16th of March 2021. On the 17th I called in to check on my order only to be told that it was 4 meters as opposed to the 50 meter squared roll which was falsely advertised on their website. I spoke with Jessica who insisted that it was 4 meters and not 50 meter squared as the description indicated. I also spoke to a lady by the name of Firdouz who indicated that she while she was on the phone with me she will be changing all the information on their website because it was incorrect. I also received a letter from Mr Ishaak Bassa indicating that they could not honour their promises because the 50 square meter roll was indeed R179. 00 per meter and not R179. 00 per 50 meter square as advertised. He did apologize and offered me a 10% discount on any future purchases. This kind of service is absolutely unacceptable. A reputable company would honour its customers and resolve the matter amicably especially when they have provided falsified advertising. Apologies and a 10% discount does not justify the I along with many other unsuspecting customers have been duped into believing that your company was genuinely having a Sale because that's what you adverti*****t read. In his letter Mr Bassa further directed me to his terms and conditions which clearly has no bearing seeing that it is not in the clear view of the consumer, one has to go through the entire platform to find it. Secondly there was sufficient time to manipulate the contents of information provided as Firdouz earlier indicated she would be doing. After all the drama I revisited the website only to discover that there's a page out of the view of the consumers which indicates that the artificial grass is R65 per meter and not R179. 00 per meter as Mr Bassa indicated in his letter. How does one justify which is the correct price when there's several different prices on the same item? I have in my possession all the proof that is required for this matter to be escalated with the Ombudsman. Misleading customers under false advertising is absolutely unacceptable. Offering me a 10% discount on a next order is another cheap marketing ploy which I refuse to accept. Offering me even 1x50 meter square roll with delivery would have been a fair negotiation considering the fact that I was mislead but to offer me a 10% discount on my next purchase is an absolute insult. A company that states it cannot honour its commitment to its customers is a poor indication that Deco Essentials does not value their customers. </div>
