I feel sorry for DECATHLON INTERNATIONAL

So firstly DECATHLON is actually a international company, it's Headquarters is situated in FRANCE and was founded in 1976, it only expanded to Germany in 1986 and then later to other countries. South-Africa got it's first DECATHLON in 2017. But like with most things in Africa, the lack of service delivery is killing the good name of DECATHLON. My journey started on 2022-04-25, when I ordered 15 products, It was mostly for fishing and I didn't urgently need it, so I let DECATHLON SA do it's thing. Well by 2022-05-29 I received a email stating that one product I paid for is no longer available and they will refund me, I as not to happy about it, as this was the product I wanted and the other 9 was just to fill the order and get the free shipping.

But what can I do, it was listed in stock and I paid, they offered me a refund at least. So now I was expecting the rest to arrive, then Africa time stepped in and nothing came.

So I started to enquire and was told SKYNET the courier company can't find my residential address, I should update it, well I gave the same address again and they seemed happy with the same address.

And finally 3months later a package came from DECATHLON SA, only problem it was pink swimming flipper , something I didn't order. So I talked to customer service again and they said they will send me the correct order and arrange to collect the cute pink flippers.

Next day the courier came and delivered my correct order, as I handed them the package with the Pink Flippers the courier guy looked shocked and I informed him that DECATHLON SA arranged for this to be picked up, he went through his documents and declared no pick-up was arranged and he can't accept it. He did add that a different courier might come for it later.

But imagine the loss through shipping on just this order, It was sent to wrong address first, then sent the wrong package, then sent the correct package, then didn't collect the wrong package at the same time, then HOPEFULLY collects wrong package. That would be 4 tips for 1 package, poor DECATHLON INTERNATIONAL.

But anyway, like I said, I was not in a rush for the things I ordered, I just think if I ordered directly from Decathlon in France it would have arrived before 3months. So just beware when ordering online, their "in stock" isn't always in stock and your order might go for a holiday for 3months in South-Africa before it reaches you.
