Selling false promises

I've been with debtsafe almost 3 years. My debt was not decreasing instead its been on a stand still. Just cancelled their services, as I was advised that as my debt is not going down. It's due to the fees debtsafe is paying itself into their account. And very less of money is distributed to the creditors. People, please don't do the same mistake I made. You rather communicate and negotiate with your creditors before you go under debt counseling. False promises is what you'll get, a debt that can take you over a year to squash. You'll end up paying it for over 10 years. I just realised that money was paid into an account I paid off before even getting into debtsafe. Asked them to explain how that happened but I just received an email stating that my ticket is closed.
