Pathetic Service

I have been dealing with Jackie Smith (debt counsellor) and Heidi Bekker (Her team leader ) since July . I received a paid up letter from 1 of my creditors and Debt Safe was copied on that mail, this meant they also received the paid up letter. However , Debt Safe continued to make payments in spite of receiving the paid up letter . When i received my statement the following month, i emailed Jackie to find out why was Direct Axis still been paid and resent a copy of the paid up letter , she assured me that the problem would be rectified, however this continued for months . After numerous emails and telephone calls to both Jackie and Heidi, they confirmed that the account has been rectified and Direct Axis had paid back a refund due to me , at first Heidi asked me to send a 3 months back statement in order for the refund to be paid to my bank account of which I did. When i queried later on, I was advised that Direct Axis does not pay the money into the customer account but to Debt Safe directly. They said once they receive the refund , they would pay the money into my bank account directly . The emails between myself , Jackie and Heidi continued for weeks, with me sending emails and phone calls and neither of them replying to my mails or returning my calls. I have correspondence from both Jackie and Heidi of the few times i did receive emails from them confirming my refund and the amount and dates of when the query would be resolved by . They both promised and assured me that my refund would be paid back to me ASAP for the months payment was still been made to Direct Axis after the account was closed . I sent Jackie a follow up email on Monday but didnt receive a reply on Tueday and then sent another email and copied Heidi and tried calling them and left messages to no avail. Eventually i sent an email advising that i would go to Hello Peter if i do not receive a reply . I then called them again and got ahold of Jackie, who sounded very confused about what was happening with my refund and transferred me to Heidi , who now tells me a totally different story from all the weeks confirming my refund . Heidi now advised me that the refund was apparently paid to NDPA instead of Hyphen and that the refund amount was paid to my creditors in August already. For all the months i have been liasiong with them were they not aware of this instead continued to make promises of my refund and how they working hard to make sure my refund is paid back to me. When they advised me of the refund due to me they also advised me of 2 other payments of which they Hyphen did receive and allocated the other amount to my creditors and the lesser amount paid now in November they some how managed to refund back to my acount . Why is the largest amount which was my refund amount cannot be paid back to me, however the other 2 amounts they could allocate but the 1 amount they allocated to my creditors and the least amount they managed which was the last amount paid in November to deposit in my bank account . If the refund was paid to my creditors in August, this means they received payment twice and that means , my creditors are paid in advance. I signed an agreement that so much would be deducted from my account on the 23rd and distrubuted to my creditors accordingly, so they amount that was been paid to a closed account is rightfully mine and i did not give permission for anything extra to be paid to my creditors so i want my refund amoun back ASAP like i stated previously this problem has been going on since July. Either Debt Safe refunds me the amount as promised or when my next debvit order collects i will make sure it will just be for the difference of the normal amount that collects to receive my actual refund. Had both Jackie and Heidi do their job first time when they received the paid up letter and or from my first complaint about still paying money to a closed account we wouldnt be in this situation. It is not my fault, they obviously provided incorrect information so they need to resolve this problem. If i do not receive any joy , i will be taking this further as this is unacceptable, i was more than patient with them and they lead me on about receiving my refund for months which i now budgeted for, I have all correspondence between the 3 of us and i will use it as leverage as this is my proof of the information provided to me and the empty promises made to me .

I wish to confirm that Direct Axis has refunded the funds as previously confirmed with you and proof of payment was e-mailed to you.
The first refund was done on 19/08/2016 by Direct Axis and funds were paid into NPDA as you were still active on their system by your previous debt counsellor. The funds were then distributed to your creditors.
The second refund was done on 05/10/2016 by Direct Axis and funds were paid to Hyphen PDA and funds were reallocated to your remaining creditors.
The third refund was done on 18/11/2016 by Direct Axis and funds were paid to Hyphen and Hyphen paid the funds directly to you.
The last refund due by Direct Axis will be paid to Hyphen and not directly to you as Direct Axis is of opinion that they pay the funds to the Payment Distribution Agency as there is still outstanding debt. You are more than welcome to take this up with them directly.
Please understand that the refunds were done by Direct Axis and therefore we have no control over their actions and decisions. However, please be assured that no funds were paid to Debtsafe directly in regards to this matter, only Hyphen PDA and NPDA.
Please do not make a short payment with your next payment as this will negatively affect your creditors and your application will be at risk.
We will however continue to follow up with Direct Axis regarding the last refund due and feedback will be provided.

Roxanne de Klerk

The refund amout is money that belongs to me that Hyphen was paying to Direct Axis which is a closed account of which Debt Safe received a paid up letter on the 16/07/16. Debt Safe is on the wrong as they continued to pay monies to a closed account after receiving a paid up letter and me querying why they were still paying to account is closed. The fault lies with Debt Safe /Hyphen, now you want to pass the buck, if people were doing their job then payment should not have been going to a closed account . I took out debt review as i dont have extra money to just give out . The agreement was to pay so much per month and nothing more , yes i still have debt , however that is been paid for on a regular basis monthly , my refund is my money that belongs to me that should not be affected by my other debt as those are been paid for according to the agreement made by the debt review company and the court. It does not give anybody else the authority to use my money the way they feel fit. My debt is not in arrears as per the court agreenment so they was no need for the credit to be distrubuted as whoever found fit . I am not leaving this , Debt Safe/Hyphen needs to sort this out as they were careless in paying monies to a closed account . They should have followed this up , but they chose to ignore this until now .

Good day Ms Tucker,

I apologise that the account was not removed immediately when the paid up letter was received but we have however rectified our mistake and requested the refund.
I wish to explain how payments within debt review work, once one account is paid up then those funds are automatically reallocated to the remaining account therefore cascading in payments will take place in your debt review. Once the Direct Axis account was paid up those funds should have been reallocated to your remaining accounts so Direct Axis is not at fault when paying the funds back to Hyphen in order to distribute.
I confirm that we are attending to this as a matter of urgency and we will keep you updated on the progress thereof.
Thank you.

You are contradicting yourself, as firstly you say the money was paid to NPDA and not Hyphen , now you admit Direct Axis was not at fault in paying the refund back to Hyphen. Also if you say if an account is paid up the funds must be paid to remaining accounts, so Why did Direct deposit of R166.08 to me and you still confirm another amount of R322.00.
However there shouldnt be funds available if Debt Safe/Hyphen is doing their job and once receiving a paid up letter , The monthly subscription for the fixed amount agreement upon can be distrubuted to remaining accounts not credit amounts that be long to me .
And if this is the case that funds should be paid back to Hyphen , was Jackie & Heidi not aware of this why did the advise me of the refund that it belongs to me and for months on continued to advise me that they are processing my refund and provided dates of when the money would be paid into my accounts and requested for bank statements from me to confirm my bank details.
I have prove in writing of these promises made of the refund and the amounts and all other correspondence fom both Jackie & Heidi of which if i take this further will have a leg to stand on.
I am also still not geting joy from them as i send emails and dont get replies , so what do i make of this now .
This is unacceptable , i want my query resolved ASAP.

Good Morning Ms. Tucker,
Tessa Delhia Tucker ID ***
I tried calling you but with no success of getting hold of you. I would like to discuss the Direct Axis matter with you as it seems the correspondence sent is confusing to you and there is a misunderstanding.
The first refund was made to NPDA and not Hyphen and thereafter the refunds were made to Hyphen. This was due to the fact that you were still active at NPDA due to your previous debt review application with previous debt counsellor.
I am attending to the matter and will be able to give you final feedback soonest.
We will request that the funds be refunded to you directly but this however is not the correct way and is not the preference.
I will give you feedback later today.
Thank you.

Hi Roxanne, so much for you promising me feedback on both social media and my email. However there is still no feedback regarding my concerns . I sent you an email yesterday and still awaiting a response.
As far as i am concerned , we have not come to any conclusion instead you keep shifting the blame to Direct Axis when it was Hyphen`s fault for still paying funds to a closed account even after receiving a paid up letter in July , but payment continued to be paid up until November , months after the account was closed .

Good day Ms. Tucker,

I have repeatedly explained when and how the refunds were made.
19/08/2016 – payment made to NPDA R2898.99
05/10/2016 – payment made to Hyphen R229.62
18/11/2016 – payment made to you R166.08
NPDA distributed the funds to your creditors but one payment was returned, amount R322.93 will be paid to you. You completed the refund forms.
Hyphen distributed the funds to your creditors. Reallocated amount on 07/11/2016, statement was sent to you.
The NPDA distributed the funds without our knowledge as we were not aware at that stage that Direct Axis paid the funds to the NPDA. We will unfortunately not reimburse you as we did not distribute the funds and it was not done on our instruction.
Please understand that your accounts are not paid in advance due to the payment made by NPDA, your accounts are in fact in arrears as you are not paying the original contractual amount but a reduced instalment under debt review. I do not suggest that you make a short payment in December as this will have a negative effect on your creditors.
I responded to your e-mail yesterday at 14h20 whereby you sent no further correspondence.
Please answer my calls or please give me a call and I friendly request that we correspond via e-mail as I will no longer respond to further correspondence done on this site.
Thank you.
