MISLED

Because of job retrenchment and many other criteria I was forced to go under debt review over eight years ago with the above national company. After coming to a monthly payment agreement (suggested by them ) by ourselves/DebtSafe/Court we went ahead paying every month strictly and still the same amount over and over again. Now many years later I by coincidence contacted them to see how closer am I getting to becoming dept free. I have now been told that one of the creditors wants more i.e a bigger payment monthly which I cannot afford. These debt Councillors are supposed to be in control of your situation at all times. They indeed take their comm monthly and send out a statement monthly but thats it. So what now...must I pay the same amount off for the rest of my life and still be in debt!!!!. The reason a person goes onto debt review is for them to consolidate your debt into a one affordable monthly payment agreed by the court knowing that after a certain period of time it will end - "not a life time". This is worse that paying off a mortgage bond by the seems of it and my debt is relatively small. WHAT NOW. I think that this company certainly does not loose any sleep about my situation.
