cannot get assistance with 17.w form
I have unknowinglly got into debt review with Debtsafe. After 2 weeks i then requested to be taken out but was given a 17.4 form with a reason of non-payment. i continued paying my creditors the original monthly payments and now 2 years later. I went to apply for a credit card and was told that i require 17.w form from Debtsafe. I have callled Debtsafe and they are now denying me the form, please advise on what should i do in order to get assistance?<br> <br> Regards
I refer to our telephonic conversation.
We received your signed application form on 03/04/2013 and due to the fact that you did not make payment for 2 months your application was terminated due to non payment. I understand there was an issue with the vehicle account and therefore you did not make payments but we have an ethical responsibility towards the consumer as well as the creditors and if payments are not made we are obliged to terminate the consumer.
As explained the Form 17.4 was issued on 14/06/2013 and sent to all your creditors and your status was updated at the NCR accordingly, so the correct procedure was followed on our side. The credit bureaux and the creditors need to update their systems.
Kindly be advised that your application was terminated in 2013 and Form 17.4 issued. The Form 17.w was implemented February 2015 therefore we will not be able to issue a Form 17.w for you. The creditors are aware of when the Form 17.w was implemented. I sent an e-mail with the supporting documents to the creditor as you requested.
