DEBT Counsellors causing more financial grief
I signed up with Debtnett last year and paid them two instalments amounting to R5200.00. I advised them that these instalments were too high and I could not afford to pay it. They then agreed to reduce it to R2000.00 and in that time creditors still called and harassed me and even debited my account.
Debtnett advised me certain creditors had fallen off the agreement. Following this I requested that they cancel our agreement immediately so that I may transfer to another debt counsellor for assistance. I am a single parent battling to make ends meet and honestly am trying my utmost to repair my financial status. Debtnett has already received R5200.00 from me for administration fees, yet they are still now demanding I pay a further R350.00 for cancellation. They are only worsening my financial situation by attempting to ****** more money from me and above all that totally crippling me with creditors in the process.
I've written to the NCR & visited Lawyers for Human Rights with my documents and they too agree it is ********* business practice for Debtnett to still demand further monies from me. A debt counsellor should be there to help you, not drag you further and deeper down
