Conducting credit bureau check without consent

I got a call from this company today I told them I'm not interested in what they offer and when the call ended I got a message that I have consented for them to do an affordability check which I never did. I'm livid as I never gave any consent or even wanted to know what they offer I will be taking this matter further.
