I have just had a conversation with Nicole from the Debt Surgeon.

I asked them last week to do a credit check and establish what my situation is.

They sent me the documentation on the 15th of September. I asked that I would need to look through the documents over the weekend and would confirm if I will do it or not.

I did not peruse the documentation over the weekend and when Nicole phoned me on Monday I stated that I would get back to her as I still need to decide. I did not answer the phone on Tuesday. On Wednesday when she phoned me I told her to stop harassing me and that I will phone her when I am ready. I still stated very clearly that I will not be rushed into this for this month. If I do decide to proceed it will only be next month anyways.

This morning when they phoned me again I stated that I will not proceed and they said I must do this via email. Which I did.

Then the email came back saying that it is not possible to cancel this application as I had agreed telephonically to it. When I phoned Nicole now she said that the application had gone through and I cannot cancel the application.

This is such harassment and such bullying techniques is unheard of. How can this application ever go through where I have not agreed at any point to this. I even asked that I would need more time to decide and said that if I do this, it will be from next month.

There are laws in this country that protect consumers against such harassment. Surely me being indecisive cannot be an opportunity for Debt Surgeon to make money off me.

I do not wish to go ahead with this application of which I am still not sure as it could not be explained to me by Nicole of how long, how much etc. But now she says it is not possible to cancel.
