Let me tell you what happened with me and this company. The consultant , I think her name was Zayaan, spoke to me on the phone. Well she told me this beautiful story and of how DS can save me money on the interest I have been paying.

Keep in mind that the interest rate has been increasing exponentially. So me, a normal consumer would do anything to save some extra cash. I AM NOT UNDER DEBT REVIEW or have a bad credit record.

But within seconds she have all my details and tell me how much I would be saving every month. I asked her several times will this reflect badly on my profile. She insisted no it won't.

She promted something and I had to sign it on my phone. They also requested my ID and payslips via whatsapp.

Here's the catch. Days later my creditors (home loan, car finance, etc) contact me to tell me I am under debit review and now I can't do anything as I am being listed as someone that has bad debts.

I contacted them to cancel as this was not initially what I agreed to. They said I would need to pay cancelation fees. Some thousands of Rands.

Then when they emailed me the forms, I noticed my signature was on several pages which I have never seen or even signed myself.

I contacted the NCR and reported them.

I have bo idea what to do now as I heard this can take years to clear my name. For something that was not stated clearly to me. They basically ******* me into going under debt review.
