Worst experience of my LIFE!!!!!

The most frustrating experience of my life, if I knew what it was like to deal with these people I would have never gone under debt review. Our debt has been paid off for years now, the last of it was paid off in January. I have been trying for 5 months to get a letter so that we can get our clearance certificate. We have had to use our money and airtime to phone debtors to get paid up letters, please tell me why this is our responsibility? Initially we were told that we would not have to make contact with creditors anymore and that they will deal with them. I have been struggling since January to get a paid up letter from Edgars to get our clearance. Debt Rescue got their money, R800 a month for admin fees? They have taken 1000's of our money just for us to run around like headless chickens to get paid up letters? Now that we are not paying them anymore why should they help us? They have already made money out of us. I am definitely taking this issue up with an ombudsman cause I feel like I have been ******. Our debt is fully paid off and I cant even get a loan from the bank or finance a car at this point because they wont do their jobs properly. I am furious, I do not feel like its the clients responsibility to issue the paid up letters, they have all our details. I would have rather suffered and gone hungry every month than have to pay these people to do absolutely nothing but take our hard earned money.
