Extremely Disappointing Service and Communication from Debt Rescue
In 2022, I made the difficult decision to apply for debt review with Debt Rescue, aiming to act responsibly due to job changes during COVID-19. I was never in arrears before this and was assured by Greg from Debt Rescue that this was the right path to take, with a clear plan that I would be debt-free by 2025.
However, I’ve experienced nothing but frustration and disappointment ever since. My appointed debt counselor, Annaline, has consistently failed to respond to my requests for assistance. Every attempt to reach her has been met with silence, leaving me with zero guidance or support. This lack of communication has now escalated into a serious problem, as I am currently in the process of applying for a new job, and Debt Rescue’s inaccessibility is hindering my ability to obtain critical documents required for my application.
The customer service has been unreliable to a degree I never anticipated. I expected better from a company that claims to support those trying to improve their financial situations. I urge Debt Rescue to address these issues and hope they will be held accountable for their unprofessional service.

For the first time, I truly felt heard and at ease, and it brought me to tears as the frustration I had been carrying just melted away. The buildup of annoyance and anger had been intense, and though I kept my composure, it was Marlize's empathy and genuine active listening that made all the difference.
I also want to recognize Annaline, who truly expressed her apologies and reassured me that the team would collaborate and liaise to best assist me. Her understanding and commitment to resolving my concerns made me feel valued and supported as a customer.
