<p>I have been under debt review for 24 months.</p> <p> </p> <p>My wife is suffering from Stage 4 cancer and her condition deteriorated severally since March.</p> <p>By April 2016 the medical aid benefits was exhausted and urgent payments had to be made to ensure that she remain getting the necessary treatment.</p> <p>I immediately contacted Debt Rescue and the advice I received was try and make a payment even less because it shows my intention to creditors. For two months I short payed just with a few thousand rand. They were supposed to contact my creditors and advice on my situation. Last month was the first month I could not make payment because I had to make urgent ICU payments. This month I paid my full instalment.</p> <p>On or about the 12th August 2016 I get a mail from a one Dylan Chibhebhe – Payments & Defaults Management that my debt review was cancelled the reason that I made short payment for 2 months and not a payment last month.</p> <p>Up until this time I have not received any notification that my debt review process has been suspended. I have follwed the advice of debt rescue to the tee but now that advise they gave me is used my Mr. Chibhebhe to suspend my debt review. Debt rescue also did not give me a time for the short payments to be paid they said I can sort it out as soon as I can.</p> <p> I have pleaded with him to understand my personal circumstances but look what an extract of a mail Mr Chibhebhe send me yesterday looks like:</p> <p>With all due respect Sir, Please stop from being personal about this and directing it to me, you have no right and can’t tell me your prayer about my wife and kids or the wish you might have whatsoever , this has nothing to do with me except your payments not being up to date ,and as such should stay on a business level . We do understand the unforeseen circumstances which leads one in an uncomfortable situation or difficulties but such can only be understood until some point and not forever , any organisation you can go to can understand the clients challenges but can’t be forever hence we didn’t advise you of any immediate suspension the time you notified us of the situation but gave you time , You are aware we have rules and regulations we have to follow and imply.</p> <p> </p> <p>Mr. Chibhebe what you see as business is personal to me. If I did not make payment then my wife would have died. Do you understand that or do you not care!! I am typing this complaint from a hospital bed, I did not go home last night as she is at her last and in all of this you throw me onto the street to fend for myself.</p> <p> </p> <p>I contacted your company I told them my situation they had a duty of care to advice me what to do and what you told me to do is used to suspend my debt review process.</p> <p>Never Use this company they are heartless. andf unprofessional and do not follow the National Credit Act.They also failed to follow the correct procedure in terms of the office of the NCR and a further investigation by the NCR would follow.</p> <p> </p>
