Debt Rescue does not even bother to respond to emails

Most people's reviews for Debt Rescue are very good, but my experience is the opposite.

When you call them, you don't get through. All the numbers are ringing busy.

Despite sending several emails to them, notifying them that my wife and I are no longer over-indebted and we want to withdraw from the debt review process, we have received very little response from them.

Section 71.1(b) of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 allows one to withdraw out of debt review if all short-term credit agreements have been paid in full and if you only have a mortgage loan remaining that is not in arrears. That's exactly our case, all our short-term credit agreements have been paid in full and our mortgage loan is up to date and not in arrears.

On three separate dates, I have forwarded email confirmation from ABSA Bank to them, wherein they confirm that our mortgage loans are not overdue and that we are up to date, but Debt Rescue has failed to act on this information.

Despite my best efforts, my emails to Debt Rescue asking about the status of our withdrawal remain unanswered. I get an automated email from them with a ticket number, but a few days later they simply close the ticket without contacting me. Very unprofessional! I am convinced that they have done nothing to help us. When we app**** for debt review 7 years ago, they were very eager to help us and they settled the case very quickly, but I can't say the same now, for some reason they are dragging their feet. Or maybe it is just a simple case of Arthur does know what Martha is doing.

I want to know what they have done since last November until now because I am not getting any feedback from their Clearance dept.

So how does one withdraw from debt review if your Debt Counselor does not even bother to respond to your emails?

I am so frustrated with them that I want to scream and I don't know what to do anymore.

I am not happy about the service I am getting.

A consultant, named Trisha did call me the next day and she also send me an email. Since then, I called her twice, I could not get through to her because number just rings endlessly. The third time I left a message for her with Maria. I have also rep**** to her email twice and received no response.
