bad service

We approached Debt rescue for help. Gary called and told me that Leboth will take me through the process. We were told that our repayments will be reduced by 60/80%, that's when we app****. During the process we were never told that our creditors might decline the repayment proposal that debt rescue has drafted. We only find out when Priscilla sent and email that the previous proposal will go up by R500. When we enquired we were told that the creditor declined the proposal. I then informed them that I'm not happy with their service and talked to Priscilla indicating to her that I'm going to withdraw from the debt review as I don't find any relief, and she told me that there won't be a problem.

Today when I send them a request that I'm withdrawing I was informed that I have been listed with the credit bureaus which is something that I was not informed of, or is it because they were looking for new business? We were not even explained that the amountsame we owed would be recalculated to a period of 5yrs. Why explain the process now when I want to withdraw, all the disadvantages would have been explained to us before we committed ourselves. The Team Leader then called me and informed me that they will remove the listing from their side and apologised on behalf of the company for not informing us, but said I should ask my creditors to remove the listing from their side. Why should I request my creditors to remove my name whereas it's their mistake? How many other customers were treated the way we were treated? All I ask is for debt rescue to remove both listing so that we can go on with our lives. They have given us bad service and I won't recommend them to anybody.

Good day,

We acknowledge your complaint and would like to provide clarity on the matters which you have raised.

The debt review process entails negotiation of payments with creditors hence the drafting of payment proposals which can either be accepted or declined by the creditors concerned. We did assist with addressing the counter offer which was provided by one of your creditors and to this day await supporting documentation from yourself which was requested to revise your proposals.

We have taken care to avail you of detailed information in our Power of Attorney which explains the implications of applying for debt review. We can provide you with this information again at your request.

Regards,

Debt Rescue Team.
