Bad Customer Feedback

Back in 2015 when I contacted Debt Rescue about going under debt review, I voiced my concerns with their poor reviews on Hellopeter regarding customer feedback. I was informed that this was a matter which they have been improving upon and I needn't worry about it. Now, 5 years down the line I can safely say they have not improved upon this important aspect at all.

Firstly, when I signed up, I categorically stated that once my situation improves, I would like to cancel the debt review process and resume my payments as normal. I was informed that this is not an issue and that I can cancel anytime I am able to prove my situation has improved. 4 Years down the line, I was able to resume my normal payments and cancel debt review, but was informed that due to some or other court order, I can no longer cancel my debt review until the final account has been paid up. Since this affected all of their clients, one would think they might send out a newsletter informing them of this important change to legislation, but no.

Secondly, after finally paying my final account I requested my clearance certificate. I was told that some paid-up letters where outstanding and they would request them from my creditors. Since I knew this would take forever, I phoned my creditor myself, got the final outstanding paid-up letter and sent this to the person who requested it in the first place. Since I didn't get any feedback, I phoned in again to request an update, only to be told that they were waiting for one more outstanding letter (the one I sent them). After informing the person that they have everything they need, they told me they would send the letters through to their clearance dept who must review the docs (6 letters in total) and this would take 3 weeks. After waiting for 3 weeks and not getting any update, I phoned back in no-one knew what progress has been made. After a mail (by a Debt Review employee) informing that I "intend to lodge a complaint on Hellopeter", I finally received an update that the review was done and the clearance certificate needs to be sent for officiation (1 week) and then they need to inform all my creditors of the clearance and remove the debt review flag from my name (8 weeks). Since then I have been emailing them weekly for an update, to no avail.
