Misleading information - ********
Debt mate is a ****, they mislead people into believing that they saving on monthly payments yet they register people as completely unable to meet their monthly obligations. They contact u and promise to help reduce your monthly repayments of debt yet they put you under debt review. When you want to cancel within 5days of agreeing to them negotiating for you, they then tell you about a cancellation fee of 75% for restructuring and an odd R300 and odd rands. Still no figure. They say you have 5 days to cancel and their 5 days include weekends, how strange is that because they do not work Sundays. Now when trying to cancel and asked them since we are still on day 5 why can’t they cancel immediately, they said they will get back to you.
It’s almost 4pm no response
The lady said it’s not debt review but debt restructuring and to my surprise my bank tells me that it’s debt review
