Debt-mate
Debt-mate asked me to pay cancellation fee of R4,833.38 to remove from their database and from debt reviews in 21 days. I paid full amount on the 21 September 20231 and still I have not been removed and this is affecting my Credit score badly. I am now paying my creditors via EFT as am unable to arrange Debit orders or pay at the store.. Now when I call them they tell me that I need to pay another R6000 rand to be remove.

22 Jul 2022, 11:43Kindly note that once the Debt Review process has began and a form 17.2 has been subitted to creditors along with an initial proposal(Negoiations with your creditors on your behalf) Then fees are basically required by our company As per the debt counselling fee structure guideline, Once you paid your fees and wanted to cancel, we do not have the power to remove you from the process because as per the law, The only way you can exit the Debt review process is once all your Debts have been paid you can exit the process or alternatively you can get an attorney to remove you from the process before a court order is granted and the R6000 fee that was mentioned is the attorney's fee to remove you from Debt Review, If you have any questons feel free to contact us on *** at any stage and we can guide you through the process, I apologize for any inconviences caused
