TELKOM SOLD INFORMATION TO DEBT-IN

TELKOM sold my information to a debt collecting company, even when I followed all processes to cancel my contract and even after paying every cent.

Earlier ghis year, I received a call from a company called DEBT-IN claimimg to be calling on behalf of TELKOM and were instructed to collect an outstanding amount. Shen I told them that I do not owe TELKOM, yhey instructed I do an AFFIDAVIT claiming that, if not they will blacklist me. This was a threat... and I do not respond to threats.

My contract was cancelled and every cent was paid... bank statements and telephone calls to TELKOM can confirmed this. Even emails like one below from BALUNGILE NGCOBO from TELKOM are available...

So, this abuse that is being muted kn me for merely having a TELKOM COBTRACT is ********... these idiots call on everyday, 3 to 5 times a day from several numbets... i.e. ***/3 or ***, ***, *** other numbers are from KZN and Eastern Cape.

Thank you for your email.

Please clarify this for me...

Kindly note that:

It may take up to 2 months for the billing process to be completed after cancellation - does this mean that you will still be billing me in those 2 months?A 30 days’ notice period applies on all service cancellations - is this included in the 2 months mentioned above?Where applicable, refund amount will show as a CREDIT in the invoice reflecting the cancellation adjustments - how will the refund be done?

And for the record, I requested a cancellation on the 25th September 2015 at 16:44 and again 13th November 2018 at 10:24... you can listen to the recordings. Your call centre agents are useless and do not give a damn about client concerns and issues... the fact that I could not cancel online did not bother them and they couldn't give a toss about it and did not even try to offer me an alternative option. The manager, Busisiwe never bothered to call me back on the 13th November 2018...

The only option, I could find since the cancellations instructions did not work for me because once in my profile and I clicked MANAGE MY ACCOUNT... it would say no account available; leaving me stuck and frustrated.

Regards

CHRISTINE NXUMALO
