Still Listed as Default Payer on Credit Bureaux Despite Paid Up Letter

I was assured by Lungile Zikhali on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 that my Telkom account is paid up in full, and that I will NOT be listed with the credit bureaux, and she sent me a paid up letter to confirm. Imagine my surprise when applying for a loan for an operation for my wife that I was told by the credit provider that I am listed as a default payer on TransUnion by Telkom!

I called Lungile yesterday, and she told me that she would get her manager to send an email to TransUnion to remove the default listing. She also promised that she would call back later that day to confirm that the default listing removal process has been started. I followed up our conversation with an email summarising our conversation and asked her specificially to acknowledge receipt of my email.

As at 10h45 today 16/01/2018, I have heard not one word from Lungile, neither by telephone nor by email. I am desperate because I urgently to sort out a loan for my wife's operation, my leave ends in six days and then I have to fly back to Saudi Arabia from where it is next to impossible to source loans back home in South Africa. I have lodged a dispute with TransUnion, but I cannot afford to wait the 20 working days that they state it will take to investigate and remove the listing.

What I need from Debt-in is as follows:

1. Written confirmation to TransUnion that my debt with Telkom has been settled in full and that they must immediately remove the default listing from my credit profile - I cannot wait 20 days for the process to complete.

2. That they liaise with Telkom, and provide me proof of this, that my debt with them is settled in full.

I am attaching my credit profile from TransUnion which shows the disputed default listing.
