extremely unprofessional
I had my telkom fix line cancelled last year, forget to pay the balance around R380.
recently I keep receiving calls from Debt-In, they said because I own telkom R470, they will take over the case, then they ask me to make payment to their account and fax them the proof of payment. I said no, firstly the amount is wrong, it should be R 380 not R 470, secondly why should I send my proof of payment to them? So I called telkom and confirmed the amount I still own, paid, then I am out.
it is understandable the way Debt-In approach me with aggressive tongue, but please, people, if you ever have the situation like this, please remember
1 Do NOT trust any amount that Debt-In told you that you still have to pay and DO NOT make any payment to any banking account that Debt-In provided to you. Basically they just increase the amount you own. I am pretty sure that If I do pay Debt-In R470, they will get R90 commission, or even more.
2 Do not give them any your personal information, eg: your other phone number or other email address because they will just send threatening message to you or harass you with lots of random number (Debt-IN has call center)
