DEBT-IN says pay, TELKOM cant say What to pay.

I'm writing in response to my previous post about TELKOM not being help full to give account & billing information.

My mother had an account with TELKOM, the account was handed over to DEBT-IN. After 19 months of interest that was added DEBT-IN contacted my mother for the first time. Stating my mother owes Telkom about R8000.00 . They made arrangements for payments and my mother started to pay them of as they arranged. After about two years of payments being made DEBT-IN states my mother still owes them money in the region of about R7000.00.

After sending emails and phoning DEBT-IN they emailed me a statement. Which I can prove that for 19 months they did not make any contact with my mother, but they added interest in such a way that the outstanding amount has almost doubled. Phoning again, to short out the interest, the lady said if my mother pays R2500.00 that all debt with TELKOM will be settled. So from R7000.00 to R2500.00 on Telkoms behalf on interest added where no knowledge was known about the debt. And seem like TELKOM does not have any knowledge them self about the account. Asking the lady again why she did not rep**** to my emails, she stated that she just got back from leave. Asking her about the interest that was added for the 19 months, she said it was not them that added it, it is TELKOM. So how can DEBT-IN say: we can give you discount to settle the account if it is TELKOM giving the interest and they don't even know about the account.

So here I'am, asking for your help with these matters of TELKOM that cant or wont give proof of account in arrears or paid off by DEBT-IN. And DEBT-IN stating its TELKOM that added the interest but they can give discount.

I have worked it out, that if my mother still owes TELKOM/DEBT-IN any more money that it should be by a quarter what they say she still owes. But regarding this matter is that I need a response from TELKOM stating if there is any accounts or so with them.
