Debt Check _ Worse Debt Counsellor to sign up with under Debt Review

Due to my Mettle Motor Loan account that have prescribed , I’ve contacted Debt Check (Ashley and Pamela) to assist with my Clearance Certificate, seeing that this was the only account still assigned. They advised that they will issue the Clearance Certificate once the aftercare fees are paid to them in full. Payment was arranged and Debt Check was paid these aftercare fees. Afterwards Pamela advised that unfortunately they are unable to issue the Clearance Certificate because of the Mettle account, and that this is not prescribed debt. I’ve requested them to provide me with the last payment date to this account, and also to provide me with proof of communication from Mettle to myself hence in writing or verbally from 2007 up until date. Nothing received, only the Summons issued in 2007 and the Judgement issued in Dec 2007 documents received from them. Now last year I was informed its seen as mortgage now, this Mettle Motor Loan account which the judgment now stands for a period of approximately 30 years! So I’ve requested documentation whereby I agreed and signed, which could also not be provided by Mettle. Also I’ve asked them to provide proof of communication verbally and in writing, in the time period from 2007 and until now also nothing received. It's now 17 years later and they want to tell me its not prescribed debt!! The last email from Pamela received in getting this resolved, was on the 18th Jul 2023. So they now received their monies, and do not care about their clients to assist and resolve. Waiting now 6 months on just a reply from Debt Check in resolving this matter and issue my Clearance Certificate.

I will not prefer anyone to make use of this Debt Counselor nor will I ever apply for Debt Review, I’d rather stay Black Listed and know that matters can be resolved.

My wife struggled with this Debt counselor too, she had to pay them for all their work she had to do. Eventually paid up her accounts herself without their assistance and was removed from Debt Review.
