> Deals Direct debited R179 after cancellation - Order AF-***4-1

I am extremely disappointed with Deals Direct.

Order Number: AF-***4-1 > Ticket: 529962 > Date of cancellation: 19 August 2026 and again on 24 August 2026 > Debit date: 31 August 2026 at 03:01 AM for R179 > Bank: TymeBank - Reference DBC*** - DEALDIRECT AF***4-1

> I instructed Deals Direct in writing to cancel my order for SIM + 20GB data + gift cards (R179 + R229 = R408 pm x 24 months) and NOT to debit me. They acknowledged my ticket but debited my account anyway on 31 August for R179.

> I have proof of cancellation before the debit. This is an unauthorised debit and a violation of the Consumer Protection Act Section 14 and 17 - I cancelled within cooling off period.

> I have already suspended the DebiCheck mandate with TymeBank to prevent further R408 debits, but I demand a full refund of R179 within 48 hours and written confirmation that contract AF-***4-1 is fully cancelled and no further debits will be attempted.

> If not refunded, I am reporting to CGSO and the National Consumer Commission.
