REad before you order - wish I did!

I've been enquiring about an order I paid for, a month ago. I have now received two contradictory mails - one stating my order is getting ready for shipment and I will receive tracking number once it ships. The other mail states there is a delay on products being scanned into the warehouse here. I've also been told to look at my updated order status - NO UPDATE! NO COMMITMENT to when to expect. Just delays. Yet on the website I see the same promise with the same product I ordered with a promise of delivery next week????? It also shows how many people have this product in their basket. Wish I could stop them. Can just assume they are ordering it for Christmas gifts - just like I did. And now I have NO GIFT for my 11year old. She was in tears tonight when she heard what happened. How can people be doing this. I've seen so many complaints everywhere - how is it possible that there is no intervention???
