Additional damage to vehicle left for repairs

ALWAYS photograph your vehicle extensively, before handing it over to a panel-beater, preferable in the presence of an employee. This will ensure that any damage caused by the panel-beater can be proven.

Sent my vehicle to De Winnaar Paneelkloppers in Dykor Str in Silverton, Pretoria in October for removal of a sc**** from a pole (CSIR undercover parking pole) - and was quoted a very reasonable R 1800 - but had R 3 000 additional damage when I fetched my vehicle - my side view mirror had been broken off. I was told that "It came in that way" and there was nothing much that I could do about it! There is an Afrikaans saying "Goedkoop werk is duur werk"
