Watch out for DE RM MOTORS

We bought a 2019 Ford Ecosport Titanium from DE RM Motors in January. The garage assured us that the vehicle has not been in an accident, before buying the vehicle we phoned Ford with the vin number to check for accident reports etc. All came back clear. After buying the vehicle we took it for the roadworthy test and they informed us that there was a problem with the CV Joint. We then took the vehicle to Ford Brits and they noticed that the vehicle has indeed been in an accident and that some of the problems was even "fixed" with cable ties. Ford gave us a quote to fix the vehicle but advised us to return the vehicle to the dealership as it had a lot of damage. We contacted the dealership about this and they told us to that they will fix the vehicle but we had to get an independent quote for the repairs because the quote we received from Ford was well over R20k. We went ahead and got a quote from somewhere else. They also advised us to return the vehicle. We contacted the dealership with this but they started to ignore all communication. We needed the vehicle so we had it fixed for the price that the dealership agreed to pay. After we got the vehicle back we contacted the dealership again for payment, they again ignored all attempts at communication. We advised them that we are taking legal action against them and we still have had absolutely no response from them. Rather save yourself a lot of money and trouble and avoid doing business with DE RM MOTORS.
