De Kelder Platterkloof - Terrible experience

<p>15 February 2017 being my daughters birthday i make a booking at De Kelder Platterkloof (our first experience there was very pleasant.. so we decide to go back). Alas, what a terrible experience our second visit was. I called a few days earlier to make a booking for 18h00 with a table at the window. Last night en route to De Kelder Plattekloof i realise we are running a bit late due to traffic. I call and advise that we late and will be there at about 18h30. 18h30 promptly we arrive at De Kelder PlatteKloof. I am then directed to a tiny table in the middle of the restaurant. This table was supposed to house four adults. I indicate that with my booking i requested a window table. Response from a gentlemen who could have been the manager for the evening - not sure. Oh i gave the table to somebody else, she had the same name. And off he walks. No apology. No trying to fix things. No customer come first - I need to see that she is comfortable. None of that. I am left at this tiny table and a waiter comes up trying to get us another table. We eventually stuffed in what my family thought was a stuffy corner - right on top of the place where sushi was being made and collected. This after i indicated to "the manager" that it would really nice if he had made some attempt to apologise. All he said then was jammer.. Really now.. Net jammer and then he walks off again. <br />At this stage the rest of my family arrive. My daughter (the one whose birthday we celebrating) is completely upset with the little corner given to us to have our dinner. for minutes after that we sat there just feeling miserable and unhappy with the service. We eventually took a table outside just so that we could have space if nothing else. So starts my daughters birthday dinner. <br />We stayed and just went through the motions of trying not ruin our daughters birthday any further. <br />In a nutshell we thought the service received from the "manager" was appalling. WE WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN.</p>
