DC.ONE shoes don't last

I purchased the Miss Black Jag 1 - Taupe boots in April. 6.5 months later big cracks appeared in the faux leather. I contacted the consumer services department and they will do nothing because it is older than 6 months as per the Consumer Protection Act. Be warned DC.ONE shoes do not last!
