Brokers and Insurance Company

I have been with this company of brokers for more than 20 years and they were previously known as PIB Insurance Brokers and am disgusted at the service I got from them when I finally had a claim on my motor vehicle in February of 2020 after paying them for ten years for the said vehicle.

They did absolutely nothing for me and I had to always be the one calling them to find out what was happening with my car. It is now December and they kept passing blame of incompetence to the insurer which is Standard Bank which I did not choose to insure my car with as they chose this and am now logged a grievance with the ombudsman as I still don’t have a working vehicle and they are trying to pay me out peanuts and absolve themselves from the claim even though they approved the repairs initially.

They have since moved their book to Ling Price and me along and I am still paying on something that hasn’t driven since February.

Standard Banks assessor Fabian also assured me that water damaged vehicles have been repaired before and he has done this several times and then suddenly refused to get my car fixed any further and said I should take the money claiming that there are wear and tear items that need sorting out aside from the main problem.

Even after asking them to only fix what the car came in for and not worry about wear and tear items which is for my own problem they have refused to do anything.

I had to pay an access again to take my car home to park off on Friday last week as I was told that if I did not remove it I would be charged storage fees daily and this would be for my account.

I am so disgusted at what service has come to in this country especially since one was paying for it for just over 20 years and also with Standard Bank Insurance as people take your money nicely but never ever bother to assist you and pass blame all over when the time comes to pay up.
