Estate file withheld despite cash buyer and repeated communication attempts
I am the Executrix of my late sister's estate. DBM Attorneys have been handling the matter for several years. During this time, the property has deteriorated due to vandalism and ******** occupation. I raised concerns on numerous occasions regarding communication and transparency, particularly after being informed that a buyer had been secured. However, I was never formally advised when that sale did not proceed. I have since appointed new attorneys who have identified a cash buyer. Although I am not refusing to pay DBM's outstanding fees, I am currently unable to settle the amount immediately and proposed that it be paid from the proceeds of the sale. Despite my attempts to resolve the matter amicably and my repeated communications, the estate file remains withheld, placing the property at further risk of deterioration and delaying the administration of my late sister's estate.
