Don’t touch a McLaren because the after care service provider is Daytona

I would like to share my experiences on buying a McLaren…I’ve bought a new 750s McLaren the car went to Daytona dealership for a door light that never worked , the car expected time was supposed to be a day at most. I was then informed that it may take longer than expected, how long I asked? no one could give me a time frame estimate 2weeks to a month…so I was like this is bull give me my car back and I will bring it when the part arrives, the dealer then informed me that my vehicle is no longer driving…. To my surprise I then investigated the matter to find out that the dealer was doing a software update and pulled out the obd plug which then caused the computers of the car to lock up and now could only get this parts from McLaren overseas…fine things happen if don’t like it but I came to terms to understand it is what it is, I then explained to the guy Johan (after care consultant from Daytona Melrose) that look I promised someone I would use the car for a wedding to pick up the bride I need a replacement vehicle for the inconvenience of this situation for a weekend… I gave the guy a weeks notice and he said he will sort out something McLaren won’t leave me stranded… comes to the weekend to fetch the car the guy says there’s no car there’s some event and unfortunately they don’t have any other McLaren. When you buy a 10m vehicle you expect with out hesitation that if a dealer damaged your vehicle they should make you as the customer feel respected comforted but most importantly make you feel that you are in the best hands… guys don’t ever buy a McLaren these guys have no class no morals and made me feel by asking them for this replacement McLaren to use as a wedding car was the biggest inconvenience for the company but failed to acknowledge that my 10m rand car is sitting in their workshop because of their technician’s negligence. Guys when you buy something of class be sure to know in life if its a luxury item there’s no expense to how someone should make you feel. Daytonas aftercare is pathetic… they have taken my excitement and my experience of owning the ultimate super car away…. I have made a decision to put this car back on the market to sell and stick to the brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini because the guys there share no expense when it comes to making you feel Like a luxury super car owner. Do not waste your time on **** luxury wannabes, stick with the brands that have regard and respect for your success and enjoy the life of hard earned sold gold trophies rather than companies like McLaren/daytona that is gold plated and once it scratches it shows the junk status beneath it. I am very disappointed with this company on the manner of how they conducted business and handled me, I write this review hoping to bring new supercar owners to stay away from buying at Daytona Melrose arch or a McLaren for the matter and stick to the solid brands and never experience this. McLaren/daytona Melrose this was my first 750s I just entered your space in getting into a McLaren but what you guys have done and shown me has made me fearful of your brand and company morals and ethics and in the future never make a client feel this way or be put in this position especially if the negligence came from your end, you guys should have done everything in your capacity to ensure me as the client was not left stranded or because of such unfortunate circumstance let someone else down that has the biggest day of their life to start a new chapter with your brand of McLaren featuring in their wedding pics that someone 50years down the line would recognise your brand of cars… you guys have put me in an awkward position to let someone down for the most important weekend of their life!!! Having luxury brand items is a very unique feeling almost unstoppable invincible but most importantly a supercar is an experience that one dreams to share and bring into others it’s a feeling to take the show and turn it into a showstopper but you guys took away that feeling and I hope someone respectable from Daytona reads this post and understands something very important cars don’t sell with out dreams, luxury brands don’t sell without giving the client the luxury experience…. And future car owners will read this review and understand what I’m saying when you walk into a luxury store to buy a luxury item you want to feel the abundance of satisfaction to know you walking out a winner and you guys just didn’t make me feel like a winner!!!
