Waste of time and money.
By far the worst medical aid out there. What's the point of having medical cover if most GP's and Pharmacy's dont accept Day1 Health??? Apparently Day1 does not pay their accounts and is why most GP's will turn you away. Yes Day1 is cheaper than most medical aid cover but its kinda pointless paying around R500 for poor service and not being able to see any doctor. Save yourself airtime, petrol and time.... dont bother with Day1. Also, do make sure to submit your reimbur*****t form when you pay the invoice. This people will only tell you after 4 months that there is a reimbur*****t amount, by then its too late to even get your money back...

Upon investigation with regards to your claim, we have found that the claim has been received from the practice (Schnetler, Corbett & Vennote) and has been paid according to our policy rules.
The amount of R129.94 was, however, rejected as per our agreed tariffs.
Day1 Health is an affordable medical insurance option and, as such, is not contracted with specialist Radiology and Pathology service providers and we therefore cannot prescribe what they charge our members.
In your Product Guide, you will find a list of approved procedures covered under these basic benefits and the tariffs applicable to each procedure code.
Please be advised that, from time to time, members may need to pay shortfalls on certain codes that are covered as the above-mentioned service providers’ fees charged may differ from the tariff schedule that we pay according to.
We trust all is in order and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Regards
Day1 Health
