DISGUSTING SERVICE

On the 20th of July I app**** for a medical aid/hospital with Day1health. I had gone through the whole application and what the policy entailed.

On the 21st of July, I had then worked out my finances and seen that I would not be able to afford it and called their call centre to cancel the application. The consultant told me that the policy would be cancelled and even assured me that they would not debit from my bank account.

Yet, on the 27th of July I received an SMS from my bank notifying me that Day1health had debited R575 from my bank account.

I called again yesterday (28th of July) and was then asked who did I speak to (as if anyone actually remembers the name of the consultant they spoke to), I said I did not know the person's name. I was then told I should have called their admin office and before I could even speak and actually say what happened, my call was dropped and I was now put through to their admin offices.

Funny thing is the admin office went straight to voicemail and the call was dropped again.

This was the most disgusting service I have ever gotten. I myself work in a call centre and know the principles of speaking to customers. This was not how they treated me, instead I was just pushed to a voice box.

Even now when I call it goes straight to voicemail. Completely unprofessional consultants who work at Day1health.
