Day At Sea Beach Lodge

Unsatisfactory reply from the management of the facility

I want to formally express my disappointment and concern regarding my booking at Days at Sea Lodge from 10–14 March, which was to celebrate my 54th wedding anniversary. As a pensioner, this trip represented a significant expense, Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it became clear that the property did not meet the standard described on their website and, more importantly, presented several safety risks that made it unsuitable for us to stay. Very Steep Steps with little or no handrails No Restaurant on site as advertised Pool was green and unfit for use Access to beach was difficult due to debris on the pathway & wooden steps leading onto beach were broken with no handrails. Website makes no mention of unsuitability for senior citizens/ children or disabled. As a result, we had no choice but to leave and arrange alternative accommodation elsewhere which has placed an unexpected financial burden on me. After much complaining I received a 50% refund but feel that I am entitled to the 50% balance.
