Signed, sealed, delivered to the wrong person.

I recently ordered through a company who uses Dawn Wing.

I got no confirmation or time or date of delivery from the courier. The tracker doesn't give such detailed information. Subsequently, I missed a phone call from dawn wing who was obviously there while I was in a meeting. I called back to be told by the driver that he could deliver between 3- 3 30. I waited until after 4pm, tried to call and he said, no he was too busy and far away in Hillcrest Park to deliver, can he do tomorrow. It's a business that's not open weekends and Id just waited over an hour and went back to the office specifically to wait for him. (Hillcrest park is only about 3kms away from our office.)

I said no problem I'll meet him at a nearby church, closer to him, where I would be for a small function and all the people there know me. No one came. Later that evening I got a confirmation of receipt of package at 9:56pm. Clearly panicked because I didn't accept it. The company I'd ordered with had to submit a complaint and escalate it to try and get answers.

Eventually we got confirmation of the person's name who accepted it. A random stranger. After the company escalated it repeatedly, the manager phoned me and I was asked to speak to the driver to figure it out and if that didn't work they could try make a plan. The driver was incredibly rude and not helpful at all but what we did find out was that he was in the parking lot of an entirely different church and adament that he gave it to someone at that church, fantastic but that's not the right church. He didn't care.

After that was no help at all I managed to track down this, luckily, honest person on Facebook and find my parcel. She told the driver repeatedly she did not know me and didn't want to accept the package and he was rude and didn't care and insisted.

Today I've just had the exact same thing happen to a friend in the same area. Hopefully the person who accepted her package was as honest but judging by the reviews im reading we are definitely not alone.
