ridiculous tariffs
Recently bought a jacket from the UK with an FOB value of R832. Received an invoice for R 965 .I mean that's a joke right. I was charged R374 (excl . vat ) for customs duty.. Thats 45% of the FOB ? ? According to the tariff code it should be 20 % . Also an agency fee and documentation fee of R360 (excl . vat) ? Is martin shkreli running this place or what ? When i asked the agent about the costs, she managed to reduce it to R760 without an explanation of how and why?
