Daniel Mautjane understands his call to SERVE

There was a lot of confusion around this shipment due to miscommunication between our branch & the booking agent from Dawnwing. This resulted in the parcel being booked as economy instead of overnight which would have been delivered a day later. I then spoke to the contact centre and requested that I collect the parcel from depot as the documents were required for court proceedings the following morning. The gentleman advised that he will leave the parcel with the security at the gate but when I got to security there was no parcel left for me.

I called the contact centre from the gate at the depot, Daniel Mautjane answered the call and he advised that the parcel has not been scanned into the system as yet and he requested that I give him at least an hour to locate it & he will get back to me. Within that hour he had called back twice to give me assurance that he is still locating the parcel.

He then called back to confirm that he has located the parcel and arranged for me to sign for it. I must say I was super impressed for such excellent service especially considering the fact that he had nothing to do with the mess that happened during the booking. He took it upon himself to be proactive and also delivered on his promise.

I was blown away by his level of understanding and his sense of urgency.

Customer service is a calling and it’s not for everyone, you Sir have been called to serve?
